I got interviewed by Kojo Nomabie today on the ratio. I was a guest host on my Dad's radio show for carnival. I feel pretty amazing. He has known me most of my life. I really feel like I'm on the verge of being big news in the coast. My work is selling really well. I need to make some new work now so I can do a huge show soon. My big show right now is still at Red Dogg Cafe..off Grubb rd. in Silver Spring Maryland. I would love for you all to come.

Also.... I took some videos on my phone of DC Carnival ..so I'll put them up soon for you all to see. I will most likely do some paintings inspired by the day too.

Today

My art show at Red Dogg Cafe in Silver Spring, Maryland has gone pretty well. I'm happy to say I have sold a good bit of work this year. Honestly I'm glad to see it go. At first you see your art like children but at some point you want it to move out your house. I have changed so much in style and creativity that they are like a childhood photo of me. More reason to paint now then ever i guess......


All is well other then that I can't wait to have some one visit me from Charlotte. I miss every body a lot. Nothing...compares to people smiling at your art...here they smirk. But here they also buy so it's a bit of a trade off. Either way it a new world and I plan on painting all over it.

Thoughts on inspiration

I have these great grassed out spots around my home. I love to take pictures of my paintings on them because it just feels so natural and beautiful. I don't know why i find comfort in this ...I just do. It makes them feel to me (paintings = them) part of the world. I 'm not sure anyone reads these so I guess I write them for myself. Like an open diary with the pages blowing in the wind. Oh well....

New work

So seem to be in the middle of a few paintings. I do wonder how many people like it better when I leave grass in the background? I like it and a few people have told me they like them so that feels good. I only ask because I want to start making prints....well more like posters. I feel the grass has a very college hippy feel to it but at the same point feels good on my eyes.

Thoughts about todays art.

Today I feel good. I am filled with ideas on new paintings. I may paint .....scratch that I will paint two paintings this week. They look so good drawn out. Everyone will love these. I'm very proud of them and I'll post the drawings up with them today. Well the drawings not the paintings because I haven't done them yet.

By the by I went to a club last night and danced my ass off. It was so much fun reminded me of the good parts of Eden back in the day. Either way...see you later :)
