home

Late night painting is the biggest part of me. It's honest on how much I want things to vanish around me so I can give complete focus. I don't is the honest answer. I want my wife and cat and dog to come and sit near by. I wan to feel their eyes on me and their touches and smiles. I remember before all of them I was this guy who slept 3 hours not in order and woke up when ever so to paint some more. I was so sick and sad. I couldn't go back to that guy even if I were crazy. Who would? I love what I do now and how much time I let my self make things. I do zone out all the time around people "mind painting" as I call it.

life behind minds

I'm remembering learning the volume that texture and patterns hold on me. It calls out to be fit in tiny places.  Looking through all these sketchbooks I found millions of patterns.  Art school beat it into me subconsciously. If you look around you see it in all complexity.

The mask we put on cats

the masks we put on cats

I had this fear even after I scanned these illustrations for my big kid coloring book project that it might disrupt how people painted them. I'm really excited to finish it even though I have ten more to do after listening to your thoughts on how many pages I need. It should be very beautiful.
